About Kendra @ The Baker's Table

Real Ingredients. Real Connections. Really Good Baking.

Hi, I'm Kendra Boettner; mom of three, wife to Eric, and the heart behind The Baker's Table. Around here, baking is more than food. It is love made visible. It is the way we create memories, practice hospitality, and live out our faith in the everyday.

At The Baker's Table, we help home bakers - especially moms, grandmas, and family-first food lovers - create approachable, from-scratch recipes that bring connection back to the kitchen.

Whether you are baking with toddlers, preparing Sunday brunch, or sharing treats with neighbors, you will find recipes that nourish both body and soul.

Kendra Boettner and her family, owners of The Baker's Table, sharing from-scratch recipes developed over 20+ years in the kitchen.

Kendra's Story

I grew up in a kitchen where birthdays meant homemade cakes, holidays smelled like cookies, and faith was quietly woven into everything. My grandmother passed her baking wisdom to my mom, and my mom passed it to me. With a big family and a tight budget, baking from scratch was how we celebrated and how we stretched what we had; it was both practical and deeply joyful.

Later, I worked in professional kitchens, learning the science and artistry of food. For over 20 years, that time in the kitchen taught me techniques I still use today, but it was stepping away from corporate life to raise our kids that gave baking its true meaning. My daughter learned to toddle beside a mixing bowl, and together we baked our way through nap times and milestones. Many years later, baking is part of our family rhythm, passed on just as it was given to me.

That mix of heritage, professional training, and daily practice shapes every recipe I share here. These aren't borrowed ideas or shortcuts. They are recipes tested in my own kitchen, refined with care, and written so you can trust them to work in yours.

My Pillars

From-Scratch Baking Simplified

Homemade doesn't have to mean hard. A slow rise or a quiet stir is not wasted time; it's an invitation to pause and savor.

Family, Faith, and Hospitality

Every recipe is an act of care. Our kitchen runs on love, biblical hospitality, and a faith that shows up in how we serve.

Quality Ingredients, Dependable Results

We use real food, nostalgic flavors, and trusted techniques so you can count on every bake.

Why Readers Trust Kendra's Recipes

Since 2023, I've been sharing the recipes I've perfected over 20+ years in home and professional kitchens. That trust has been built one recipe at a time. I test and retest until the instructions are clear, the flavors are right, and the results are reliable.

Bakers across the country have made these recipes their own, many carrying five-star ratings and dozens of comments from readers who keep coming back to them. These are the same recipes I make for birthdays, church potlucks, and neighbors, so when I share them with you, they already carry the weight of family tradition and real-world proof.

Our Faith Grounds Us

Our faith is the foundation of everything we do. It shows up in the neighbor we bake for, the church meal train we join, and the way we gather around the table. Baking is one way we practice Biblical hospitality-an ordinary act that carries eternal meaning.

Beyond this blog, I serve as Director of Operations at Lily Pad, a nonprofit supporting foster children and families across South Carolina. I bring that same heart for hospitality and service into every part of life. Eric works at Lily Pad too, as the Vice President of Operations and Advancement, while running the tech stack and marketing for our blog.

Why I Bake

I bake because we believe in the sacred power of the table. Baking slows us down, invites us to share, and turns ordinary days into moments of joy.

I bake for our children, our neighbors, our church, and for you-the home baker who wants recipes that truly work.

Welcome to The Baker's Table. Let's bake something beautiful together.
